Artist’s Comments:

“For 2023, I decided to turn plants into Sensory Gated Art. The purpose behind this was to harness the depression-fighting qualities of nature with the anxiety-reducing qualities of Sensory Gated Art. I kicked off the collection with this large piece - one that captures the towering wonder of looking up into the trees. Everything else seems to melt away when I look up.

The title, “lift crooked arms in wonder” is inspired by a line from the poem, Barren Trees by R. Donahue in her poetry book, Beyond Chittering Cottage.”
